In 2014, writer Joe Casey and artist Jim Mahfood teamed-up once again, this time to produce the 5 issue comic book mini-series, Miami Vice: Remix for Lion Forge Comics and NBC. Mahfood and Casey were basically given unlimited freedom to reinterpret, or ‘remix’, the mythology of Miami Vice for a whole new era. The result is an action packed, psychedelic, over the top, bizarre, and hilarious journey into the worlds of underground drug trafficking, evil black magic, voodoo, Miami bath salts, gangster zombies, strip clubs, and hard nosed undercover narcotics cop work. Jim’s long-time collaborators Justin Stewart and Steven Chunn came onboard to lend their hands at coloring the art, and the end results jump off the page. This is a comic book series not to be missed!
